GIG POSTER/ALBUM COVER

I created a gig poster and album cover for the album Dreamland by Glass Animals. Glass Animals are classified as alternative/inde, pop, and rock. Their music is unique and has an electro psychedelic feel.

I wanted to focus on emulating the funky and exotic mood of their music through the use of bright colors and jungle patterns. To do this, I experimented with phsyical elements such as distortion on a scanner, handwritten text, and collage elements from magazines. I created various drafts by mixing these elements and trying out different directions until I landed on an idea that best communicated the music.
